楯岡満茂の嫡男という。播磨守を称す。のちに満茂は、甥の親茂を跡継ぎとすべく養子に迎えていることから、若くして亡くなったものと思われる。満信のほか満茂の子は、大山筑前守光因妻・香林院、大山内膳正光隆妻・於陳女郎、楯岡親茂妻・源高院の３姉妹である。
